Los Angeles Blockbusters starter Syed Farooqi was in fine form against the New York Knickerbockers at Knickerbocker Stadium, leading his team to a win, 5-4. New York has now lost 6 consecutive games.

Los Angeles used the timely hitting of Terry Steuart to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blockbusters on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Syed was throwing free and easy," said Los Angeles manager John Trausch.
