The Los Angeles Pobladores picked up a win at Atlantic Avenue Grounds, downing the Boston Terriers, 9-1. On the mound for Los Angeles was left-hander Phil Lester, who played a pivotal role in the win. Lester picked up the win for Los Angeles, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 11-4. The triumph puts Los Angeles at 49-45 for the season.

Buddy Bursley had a big 2-run home run for the Pobladores in the top of the fourth inning. With Los Angeles leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a changeup from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Tim Jepperson and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Pobladores on top, 3-0.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Bursley said after the game.
