Bobcats Throttled by Eagles, 3-1
|
The Washington Eagles got a magnificent performance from pitcher Chet Lee, who stifled the Cleveland offense en route to a 3-1 Eagles win at Monument Field. Charlie Tovar, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 13th save. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Washington.
Charlie Tovar recorded a big out in the top of the ninth. The Bobcats were trailing 3-1, but Cleveland had a runner on 2nd with one out. Tovar threw a 0-1 changeup to Proctor, who flied out.
