Bobcats Win Nail-Biter in 10
The Cleveland-Washington matchup turned into a real hit parade.

The Cleveland Bobcats beat the Washington Eagles, 11-10, at Monument Field. Cleveland catcher Buzz Webster had an outstanding performance. He went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The 4th-place Bobcats have won 5 consecutive games.

Cleveland used the clutch hitting of Phil Chirico to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Bobcats the lead, 11-10. For the game, Chirico had 1 single and 1 double in 6 at-bats.

"You start putting runs on the board and winning, everyone's going to get excited," said Chirico.
