Hurons Lose By a Run at Atlanta, 1-0
|
The Atlanta Generals got a stellar performance from pitcher Mark Campbell, who handcuffed the Toronto offense en route to a win, 1-0, at Atlantic Station Field. Campbell, now 4-5, was the winner. In 8.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 6, and allowing no runs. Getting the save was Bob Donahue, his 3rd.
Atlanta grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Max Kesic delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 1-0 in favor of the Generals.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Jim Burns.
Atlanta has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
