St. Louis first baseman Tom Adams had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Milwaukee Dairymen, 8-3. The win puts the Explorers at 53-44, while the Dairymen drop to 28-67.

With St. Louis leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Adams hit a fastball from Dan Valenti for a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Explorers ahead, 4-1.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said St. Louis skipper Ray Fleetwood.
