Seagulls Take Nail-Biter Over Terriers
San Francisco starter Reggie Wright put a stranglehold on the Boston offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Seagulls to a 5-1 win. The Seagulls, at 49-44, sit in 4th place in the American Baseball League Western Division.

San Francisco won the game in the bottom of the 13th inning. With two outs and Denny Beason on the mound for Boston, right fielder Richie Amos hit a dramatic grand slam home run, bringing Seagulls fans to their feet.

"This game had its share of tense moments," Wright said, postgame.
