Dallas and Chicago duked it out and the Wranglers came out victorious.

The Dallas Wranglers got a strong performance from pitcher Steve Coomes, who stymied the Chicago offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Hyde Park Stadium. Dallas now owns a record of 49-46.

Coomes, who finished 4th in the ABL in wins with 17 in 1966, pitched a complete game for Dallas. Coomes surrendered 2 hits over 9 innings and struck out 2. With the win, he moves to 11-8 on the season.

"When Steve is on, he can really move the ball around," said Dallas manager William Albrecht.
