Drillers Reel Off Another Win
|
The Houston Drillers topped the Twin Cities Northmen, 6-3, in American Baseball League action at Sam Houston Field. The standout performance belonged to Houston pitcher and Pimentel, Dominican Republic, native Angel Colon. Houston has won 7 consecutive games.
Mark Sisson had a big 2-run home run for the Drillers in the bottom of the third inning. With Houston leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a sinker from 1971 Rookie of the Year Award winner Gerald Gross and punished it. The result was his 20th home run of the season, which put the Drillers on top, 4-0.
"I was able to fill up the zone," said Colon.
