The Chicago Traders had to overcome a good performance from Kansas City pitcher Mike Brown to claim a 3-2 win at Union Field. Brown went 8.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. Ted Karoly was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Traders pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I was a little disappointed," said Kansas City manager DD Martin. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
