Quakers Deal Industrials 5-2 Loss
|
Philadelphia and Pittsburgh duked it out and the Quakers came out victorious.
Philadelphia Quakers starter Fred Harrison pitched his team past the Pittsburgh Industrials, 5-2. Harrison got the win, improving to 11-6. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 9 innings. He allowed 2 runs.
Philadelphia used the hitting of Ken Terry to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Quakers on top, 4-1. For the game, Terry had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Fred pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Philadelphia manager Jeff Green.
The defeat makes Pittsburgh 64-34.
