Dairymen Sunk by Bulls
|
Kansas City registered a win at Independence Field by beating the Milwaukee Dairymen, 4-1. Pitcher Tom Mitchell was one reason why the Bulls triumphed. With the win, the Bulls improved to 43-56.
Randy Colbourne dealt the Dairymen a blow in the bottom of the eighth. Batting with the bases loaded and Kansas City leading 2-1, Colbourne, who finished 2nd in the ABL in doubles with 35 in 1969, hit a 2-1 fastball for a 2-run single.
Kansas City manager DD Martin commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
