The Boston Terriers topped the New York Empires, 5-3, in American Baseball League action at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. The game was highlighted by the performance of Boston pitcher Tim McDonald. Brian Long earned the save for Boston, his 2nd of the year. New York's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
In the bottom of the seventh, Boston shortstop Greg Gray hit a run-scoring single to right field. The clutch hit made it, 4-3, Terriers.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said McDonald.
