Generals Send Houston Home with 2-0 Loss
|
Atlanta Generals pitcher Gary Ovitt was in top form, leading his team past the Houston Drillers, 2-0. Ron Winder closed it out for his 15th save. The Generals now have a record of 46-53 with the win over Houston.
The Generals had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 2-0, Atlanta, with no one out. Houston, with the bases empty, was mounting a threat. Paul Parkyn dug in at the plate, but on a 0-1 sinker, he flied out.
