Emeralds Earn 4-3 Win Versus Habitants
|
The Montreal Habitants and Seattle Emeralds provided some drama for the home crowd.
Seattle rode a decent outing from starter Denny Goldberg to victory over the Montreal Habitants. The final score was 4-3. The win has Seattle at 41-60.
Had Ron Ferguson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Ferguson hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Emeralds.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Ferguson told the Seattle Gazette.
