The Houston Drillers picked up a win at Atlantic Station Field, dropping the Atlanta Generals, 5-2. Angel Colon was the difference-maker. In 6 innings, Colon surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. Bill Footman collected his 1st save.

Houston used a well-timed hit by Jackie Frost to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Drillers ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"I thought we played a nice game," Frost told the Houston Observer. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."

The Drillers are now 48-54, while the Generals fall to 44-56.
