Industrials Come Back Late to Top Bobcats, 3-1
Roger Scherf, who is tied for 9th in the NBL with a 2.58 ERA, pitched well, but the Cleveland Bobcats still fell short, losing, 3-1, to the Pittsburgh Industrials at Lakefront Stadium. The Industrials lead the National Baseball League Eastern Division by a game.

Pittsburgh used a timely hit from Terry McClellan to get the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Industrials ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

McClellan called the win "an overall solid one."
