Good production from second baseman Daniel Salas helped the Cincinnati Packers topple the New York Knickerbockers, 6-5. Salas went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Packers. Cincinnati now has a record of 4-6.

Salas had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 2-2 curveball from Tim Fried, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Packers a 4-1 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Salas.

"I told our guys, 'Runs don't score by themselves,'" said Salas. "You need someone to get on base and someone to drive them in."
