Boone Slugs Emeralds to 4-3 Win
|
A 4-RBI performance from left fielder Freddie Boone led the Seattle Emeralds to a win over the San Francisco Seagulls, 4-3. San Francisco, with the loss, is still a robust 7-2.
Boone had a timely hit for Seattle in the bottom of the eighth. With Seattle trailing 3-2, he turned a 0-2 cutter into a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 4-3, Seattle.
"We did enough to win," said Boone.
