Cleveland Earn 3-2 Victory at Union Field
|
The Cleveland Bobcats did just enough to sneak past the Chicago Traders, 3-2, at Union Field. Cleveland pitcher Bruce Cardenas, in particular, had a standout performance. Cleveland, at 68-35, is 7 games up in the National Baseball League Eastern Division.
Keith MacPherson, who finished 2nd in the NBL in home runs with 33 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. MacPherson contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Cleveland up, 3-2.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said MacPherson.
