Milwaukee Defeated by Kansas City, 4-1
|
Kansas City turned a fine outing from starter Dennis Greenlee into a victory over the Milwaukee Dairymen at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium. The final score was 4-1. Greenlee, now 9-5, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 1, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. By defeating Milwaukee, the second-place Bulls improved to 57-48.
Kansas City used the hitting of Chris Taylor to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put the Bulls on top, 1-0. For the game, Taylor had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Taylor said.
