Habitants Sneak By Emeralds, 2-1
|
Getting an impressive start from Fred Anthony, Montreal beat Seattle by the score of 2-1. Today's win puts Montreal at 53-50, while Seattle falls to 41-61.
Tom Vicari provided a timely hit. The Montreal pinch hitter delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Habitants on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
Vicari attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
