Bluebirds Send Cleveland Home with 4-2 Loss
Brooklyn pitcher Jorge Sandoval did his part in helping his team defeat the Cleveland Bobcats, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Today's win puts Brooklyn at 50-54, while Cleveland falls to 63-39.

Brooklyn needed the clutch hitting of Jackie Cooper to seal the deal. The right fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bluebirds on top, 3-2. For the game, Cooper had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

After the game, Brooklyn manager John Meeker applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
