White Lifts Bluebirds to 13-7 Win
The performance of Ernie White proved critical in helping Brooklyn beat Washington, 13-7. The Bluebirds second baseman went 3-6 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 7. With the victory, the Bluebirds upped their record to 53-53.

In the bottom of the 6th, center fielder Brian Turley gave Brooklyn the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Bluebirds had been trailing 7-6, but the two-out single off Washington pitcher David Rodriquez changed that -- and Brooklyn went on to win.

"We'll try to build on that win," White told the Brooklyn Gazette.
