Quakers Send Pittsburgh Home with 3-1 Loss
In a tight tilt between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, pitcher Jeff Jordan was a key contributor. The left-hander earned accolades for his standout performance in the 3-1 Quakers win. Earning his 14th save of the year was Art Wohlt. The Quakers go to 41-64 with the win.

Greg Russell had a big solo home run for the Quakers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Philadelphia leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he got a sinker from Gene Steinhauer and swatted a home run to left. It was his 12th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Quakers ahead, 3-1.

"Makes our job easier," said Russell, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
