The Boston Terriers defeated the Atlanta Generals, 5-4, in part because of left fielder Charlie Zacharias. Zacharias went 2-3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Terriers. The Terriers improved their record to 44-62 with the win over Atlanta.
With the game tied, 3-3, in the top of the fifth, Zacharias had a key at-bat for Boston. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Zacharias hit a run-scoring single off Gary Ovitt, making the score 4-3, Terriers.
Boston manager Phil Palapa praised his team's "energy."
