Though the conditions were not ideal, the Detroit Wolverines and Toronto Hurons came back from a rain delay to finish their game.
The Detroit Wolverines bumped off the Toronto Hurons, 6-5, at Dominion Field. Joe Cooper hit 1 single and 2 doubles. He also had 3 runs batted in. William Matz earned his 1st save in 1 chances.
The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Cooper hit a 2-run double off Bill John. It propelled the Wolverines into the lead, 4-2.
"What's not to like about a win?" said Cooper.
With the win over Toronto, the Wolverines improved to 54-51.
