Bobcats Win Thriller, 7-6
The Cleveland Bobcats overcame a pretty good performance by Pittsburgh left fielder Don Keough, beating the Industrials, 7-6, at Lakefront Stadium. Keough hit 3 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored three times. Joe Clabaugh earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 10-5. The first-place Bobcats, at 66-42, lead the National Baseball League Eastern Division by 4½ games.

The decisive blow was delivered by Bill Harper in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Bill Hoel to win the game for Cleveland. The home crowd went nuts.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Harper said.
