New York Pockets 3-1 Win Over Washington
The game between New York and Washington is in the books, despite a little rain.

The New York Knickerbockers, behind a great outing from Chris Hull, who finished 5th in the NBL in ERA with 2.61 in 1969, defeated the Washington Eagles, 3-1, at Knickerbocker Stadium. Hull, the winner, moves to 8-7. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 1 walk. Steve Worlund earned his 1st save in 1 chances.

In the bottom of the fifth, with the game tied, Washington allowed the Knickerbockers to go up, 1-0, on a Washington error.

"Chris is good at sticking to his strengths," said New York manager Sean Kelly.

The victory gives New York a record of 56-53.
