Habitants Win at Seattle, 7-3
|
The Montreal Habitants picked up a win at Puget Field, knocking off the Seattle Emeralds, 7-3. On the mound for Montreal was right-hander Jeff Hess. He played a key role in the triumph. The victory gives the Habitants a record of 62-48.
There was more than one reason the Habitants beat the Emeralds, but Hess's big at-bat in the top of the fourth was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-1 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.
"Solid performance from our side," said Habitants manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon.
