Blockbusters Bridle Dairymen, 3-2
The Milwaukee Dairymen got a sterling performance from pitcher Randy Adams, but the Los Angeles Blockbusters still prevailed, 3-2. Adams threw 8.0 innings allowing 3 runs. Dick Berry, credited with the save, is now 7 for 13 in save opportunities. The Blockbusters go to 55-56, putting them 5th in the National Baseball League Western Division.

The Blockbusters got an important contribution from left fielder Nana Hubbard, who in the bottom of the third punched a 1-1 curveball into right for a 2-run home run. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the Blockbusters ahead, 3-0.

Hubbard told a Los Angeles Times reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
