Detroit picked up a win at Wolverine Field, bumping off the Toronto Hurons, 8-2. Pitcher Jim Bryant was a major reason the Wolverines emerged victorious. Detroit is now 59-49, while Toronto is 50-61.

In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Toronto allowed the Wolverines to go up, 2-1, on a Toronto error.

"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Jim Burns.
