Terriers Capture Close Win
In a low-scoring affair between the Boston Terriers and the Atlanta Generals, pitcher Tim Jepperson was the difference between victory and defeat. The Boston right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 2-1 Terriers win. The Terriers raised their record to 45-65.

Roberto Alvarez, who finished 3rd in the ABL in hits with 194 in 1971, had a direct impact on the outcome. Alvarez contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Boston up, 2-1.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Jepperson.
