Behind an impressive start by Carl Taylor, Chicago beat San Francisco, 3-1. With the victory, the Hawks upped their record to 62-48.
Taylor pitched well for Chicago. The left-hander went the distance, allowing 1 run on 3 hits.
"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said San Francisco manager Al Borie. "We had our chances and didn't cash in."
