Northmen Get Past Houston for 3-2 Win
The Twin Cities Northmen and Houston Drillers played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

Getting an impressive start from Dave Fuller, Twin Cities beat Houston by the score of 3-2. Curt Kirkley came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 5-10.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Bill Milligan came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Houston pitcher Warner Manning, he hit a 0-2 sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Twin Cities on top, 3-2.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Fuller.

The Northmen, now 43-66, have won 5 in a row.
