The St. Louis Explorers topped the Denver Burros by a score of 11-7. Leading the way was shortstop Tom Guinn. Guinn was 3 for 5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Explorers. Randy Birch earned the win for St. Louis. Bob Raab had a big 2-run double for the Explorers in the top of the fifth inning. It was his 21st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Explorers ahead, 5-2.
