Quakers Earn 4-2 Road Win Over Brooklyn
The rain came, as predicted, but the Philadelphia Quakers and Brooklyn Bluebirds were able to complete their ballgame.

The exploits of center fielder Tom Clark, the 5th overall pick in the 1975 draft, helped the Philadelphia Quakers defeat the Brooklyn Bluebirds, 4-2. Clark was 2-3 with a triple and a walk, while scoring 2. John Stoddard earned the win for Philadelphia. He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 1-0. Art Wohlt nailed down his 1st save.

Clark had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the top of the fourth inning, when he hit a triple. The Quakers went on to win.

Clark told a Philadelphia Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

The Bluebirds drop to 5-6 and continue their mediocre start to the 1977 season.
