Anderson Helps Packers Beat Knickerbockers, 5-4
A 3-RBI performance from right fielder Jerry Anderson, the 9th overall pick in the 1963 draft, led the Cincinnati Packers to a win over the New York Knickerbockers, 5-4. The loss drops the Knickerbockers to 8-4.

Anderson had a timely hit for Cincinnati in the top of the ninth. With Cincinnati trailing 4-2, he turned a 1-1 cutter into a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season, making it 5-4, Cincinnati.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said New York manager Sean Kelly.
