The Detroit Wolverines defeated the Boston Terriers, 6-0. Third Baseman Joe Voss deserved a large share of the credit. Voss went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Wolverines. With the win, the Wolverines have a record of 57-55.

With Detroit leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Voss hit a 2-run single off Boston hurler Steve Papa. It was the 99th hit of the season for Voss and put his team ahead, 3-0.

"Getting the win feels nice," said Voss. "More importantly, I had a good game."
