Los Angeles Bats Go Silent in 3-0 Loss
|
Seattle pitcher Denny Goldberg did his part in helping his team defeat the Los Angeles Pobladores, 3-0. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Ron Woods earned his 13th save, after closing out the game. Seattle now owns a record of 57-54.
Billy Muhammad had a direct impact on the outcome. Muhammad contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Seattle up, 2-0.
"I'm happy we won," said Goldberg. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
