Swafford Hits Two Dingers, Traders Win, 10-3
The Chicago Traders downed the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 10-3, at Union Field. The Traders were led by Bill Swafford. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored twice. Skip Crawford, the winner, improved to 10-7. He held Los Angeles to 3 runs on 5 hits over 8.2 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. The win makes Chicago 49-66.

Garry Graham aided the Chicago cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the second. For the game, the third baseman drove in one run.
