Munoz Thwarts New York, 6-0
|
Pittsburgh Industrials starter Jeff Munoz really did a number on the New York Knickerbockers, shutting them out, 6-0, on 2 hits in a complete game victory. He issued no walks and had 3 strikeouts.
"We didn't have good at-bats," said New York manager Timothy Widholm. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Munoz."
On the season, Munoz has a 12-8 record with a 2.21 ERA.
