Quakers Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
Philadelphia picked up a win at Flatbush Park, bumping off the Brooklyn Bluebirds, 3-2. Pitcher Manny Salinas was a major reason the Quakers emerged victorious. Philadelphia has now won 5 games in a row.
Tony Martinez, the 27-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Martinez contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the 11th inning to put Philadelphia up, 3-2.
"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Jeff Green.
