Lords Deal Habitants 6-0 Defeat
|
The Baltimore Lords downed the Montreal Habitants, 6-0, at LaSalle Stadium. Baltimore pitcher Don Achber had a scintillating performance. The 6th-place Lords improved to 53-65.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Danny Phillips? The Baltimore first baseman had a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put the Lords on top, 5-0. For the game, Phillips had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We took home the win," said Phillips. "What's not to like?"
