Eagles Suffer 11-5 Road Loss
Philadelphia center fielder Ted Schlener had a 5-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Washington Eagles, 11-5. Mark Garland, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities. The Quakers now have a record of 49-70 with the win over Washington.

The Eagles had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Quakers going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old first baseman Ken Terry came to the plate. Terry hit a 2-run double on a full count sinker from Washington hurler Alex Fonseca. It was Terry's 29th double of the year.

"Glad to go home with a win," said Schlener.
