|
Denver Burros starter Fenton Flannery hurled his team past the Kansas City Bulls, 4-2. Bill Wojciehowicz was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 20 of 22 save opportunities. With the victory, the Burros upped their record to 65-54.
Denver took advantage of an error in the top of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Gordy Gregory hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Denver in front, 3-2.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Gregory said after the game.
