The Chicago Traders stopped the Kansas City Bulls, 7-3, at Union Field. The Traders got a big game from Fran Precourt, who was 2-3 with a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Bobby Peters got the win, improving to 12-5. He worked 7.2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 4. With the win, the Traders sit at 62-55.

With Chicago leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth, Precourt hit a splitter from Dennis Greenlee for a bases-clearing double. It was his 30th double of the season and put the Traders ahead, 6-2.
