Boston Terriers starter Jimmy Trent was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Baltimore Lords, 4-3. The win has Boston at 48-72.

Chuck Bowers went 1-3 for Boston. The 29-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Dan Valenti. It was his 35th RBI of the season.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Baltimore skipper Steve Read.
