The New York Knickerbockers stopped the Washington Eagles, 11-1, at Knickerbocker Stadium. The Knickerbockers got a big game from Bob White, who was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 6. Ray Schifsky collected his 1st save. The Eagles fall to 5-7 and continue to sputter in the early going.

With New York leading 2-0 in the bottom of the first, White hit a 2-run single off Washington hurler Dave Alexander. It was the 3rd hit of the season for White and put his team ahead, 4-0.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said New York skipper Timothy Widholm.
