Explorers Zap Bobcats, 4-1
|
The Cleveland Bobcats got a superb performance from pitcher Fred Harrison, but the St. Louis Explorers still won the game, 4-1. Harrison threw 7.0 innings allowing 4 runs. Earning the save was Bill Persails. He's now cashed in 2 of 2 save opportunities. St. Louis's winning streak has reached 4 games.
In the bottom of the seventh, St. Louis shortstop Fernando Najera hit a run-scoring single to right field. The clutch hit made it, 2-1, Explorers.
