Boston Nets 2-1 Win Versus Lords
|
The Boston Terriers downed the Baltimore Lords, 2-1, at Seton Hill Stadium. Stellar pitching by Ken Torkelson had a lot to do with it. The right-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. Boston has now reeled off 7 straight wins.
Paul Knight came through with a big-time hit for Boston. The catcher smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Runs were at a premium," said Boston manager Jonah Placeholder.
