Drillers Get Past Los Angeles, 5-4
The Los Angeles Pobladores could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Dan Turner into a win. Instead, the Houston Drillers prevailed, 5-4, in 14 innings. Turner threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The Drillers move to 70-50 with the win, while the Pobladores drop to 62-56.

The Drillers got a clutch hit from shortstop Jim Johnson. In the bottom of the 14th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Drillers.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Johnson.
