Terriers Get Hard-Earned Win
|
The Boston Terriers clipped the Atlanta Generals, 2-1, in 10 innings at Atlantic Station Field. The standout performance belonged to Boston pitcher and Greensboro, North Carolina, native Tim Jepperson. Today's win puts Boston at 56-63, while Atlanta falls to 50-69.
Bob Madaras had a direct impact on the outcome. Madaras contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Boston up, 2-1.
"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Boston field general David Molina.
