Pelton Tosses Shutout Against New York
|
Dave Pelton was in a mood to talk following the Cincinnati Packers contest against the New York Knickerbockers, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Knickerbockers, 3-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Pelton said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked New York on a 4-hitter, allowing 3 walks and racking up 5 strikeouts.
On the year, Pelton has worked 156.2 innings with 70 strikeouts en route to a 11-6 record and 3.56 ERA.
