The Philadelphia Quakers racked up a win at Quakers Stadium, bumping off the Cleveland Bobcats, 5-2. Art Wohlt, who started for Philadelphia, pitched effectively for his team. Philadelphia is now 70-50, Cleveland 61-58.

Vern Friend, who finished 5th in the NBL in triples with 9 last year, helped out the Philadelphia cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk.
