Habitants Grind Out 2-1 Win
The Montreal Habitants received a superlative performance from starting pitcher Bob Schar, allowing them to bump off the Detroit Wolverines, 2-1. Picking up the save was Al Johns. He's now 18 for 21 in save chances. Montreal is now 57-65, while Detroit is 62-57.

Montreal second baseman Ben Hennie helped the Habitants go up, 1-0, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Hennie hit a run-scoring single off Detroit pitcher Jim Bryant.

"We were in it," said Detroit manager Alex Wobbema. "We just didn't score enough runs."
